Tarpon’s Power & Leasing division provides complete solutions for remote, standby and prime power requirements. We offer an expansive fleet of diesel, gas and turbine powered generation equipment and related products for rental or purchase. Our experienced technicians will assist in the planning and execution of each project to ensure that the appropriate equipment is selected, delivered and installed.
As an authorized distributor for Cummins’ engines and Capstone’s microturbines, every major component supplied by Tarpon is covered by OEM warranty.
We offer complete solutions for a variety of power generation equipment applications, including: oil and gas, remote camps operations, mining or construction projects.
Equipment – full range of generation equipment from 15 kW to 1.25 MW.
Custom Design Packages – configuration up to several MW.
Extended Service – supplemental filtration and automated oil management systems increase oil change intervals.
Emissions – heavy duty diesel engines use advanced combustion technology for reliable and stable power, low emissions and fast response to sudden load changes.
Full Fluid Containment – buildings are designed to retain spills to mitigate environmental impact.
Sound Attenuated – insulating panels and an advanced air flow design reduce excessive noise.
2-Way Communication – monitors generator equipment remotely and can be integrated to include inputs from outside sources e.g. wellhead pressure and fuel level.
Supplemental Gear – twin wall fuel tanks ranging from 500 GAL to 4,200 GAL capacities, 20 kW light towers, switchgear, transformers, distribution panels and distribution buildings.
Turbines are suitable for applications ranging from remote locations to large city centers. Utilizing a wide variety of fuels, turbines deliver the best value for clean and reliable small-scale power production while maintaining superior safety and emissions. Turbines are scalable from 30 kW to 1 MW and can be combined to produce up to several MW if required.
Using turbines has a number of benefits. There is no oil, grease or glycol to maintain or dispose of and turbines are more tolerant of varying gas quality. Turbines are also air cooled to reduce noise emissions, produce heat as a byproduct for use within close facilities and have extremely low maintenance due to having only one moving part.
Tarpon provides after sales support ranging from regularly scheduled maintenance to an all inclusive package that fits our clients’ operational needs. We provide start-up and commissioning assistance and have a network of service locations across western Canada that provide 24/7 support.
Our toll-free number will always connect to a trained customer service representative who is able to provide specific information about our generator availability, distribution and equipment specifications.
